Bruins Announce Official Roster, Bourque Makes the Team

With the first game of the 2013 season just hours away, the Bruins released their official roster. Included on the roster are Chris Bourque, who many expected to make it, David Warsofsky Aaron Johnson, and Lane MacDermid.

MacDermid, Johnson, and Warsofsky are all expected to be healthy scratches most of the time. Bourque will start on the third line with Chris Kelly and Rich Peverley, whom he played with the entire training camp.

Jay Pandolfo, who is on a professional tryout, will most likely be sent to Providence if he doesn't sign elsewhere. He is an important insurance policy is Bourque fails or there are injuries.

The rest of the roster has no surprises. Tuukka Rask and Anton Khudobin are the two goalies while Dougie Hamilton will be manning the blue line with Dennis Seidenberg.

The rest of the roster looks like this:

Forwards: Patrice Bergeron, Bourque, Gregory Campbell, Nathan Horton, Kelly, David Krejci, Milan Lucic, MacDermid, Brad Marchand, Daniel Paille, Peverley, Tyler Seguin, and Shawn Thornton.

Defensemen: Johnny Boychuk, Zdeno Chara, Andrew Ference, Hamilton, Aaron Johnson, Adam McQuaid, Seidenberg, and Warsofsky.

Goalies: Rask and Khudobin.
