Chris Bourque, Niklas Sveberg, and Trent Whitfield have been named to the 2013 Eastern Conference team for the 2013 American Hockey League All-Star Classic, which will be played in Providence.

Bourque has recorded 28 points in 32 games with Providence this year. But he probably won't be back this season. He is expected to start the season on Boston's third line with Chris Kelly and Rich Peverley.

Whitfield was announced as the Eastern Conference Captain back in December. While he hasn't put up the points this season, Whitfield has been a crucial part of Providence's success this season. He has played 15 seasons in the AHL and made one other All Star appearance, in 2003.

Svedberg is in his first season playing in North America and has impressed. His goals-against average (2.46) and save percentage (.920) are both in the Top-20 of AHL goalies and is 15-6-1 on the season. His 15 wins are the fifth most in the AHL.

The All Star Classis will be played Jan. 27-28 in Providence.
