Daniel Paille has decided to join to join his teammates overseas as he signed with Ilves Tampere of Finland's SM-Liga. He is now the 12th Bruins player to sign overseas.
Paille will play in the same league Rich Peverely. Paille finished last season with nine goals and 15 points but he's importance to the Bruins extends beyond the scoresheet. Since arriving from Buffalo, Paille has played a critical role on the Bruins penalty kill in recent years. He has scored seven shorthanded goals in his three seasons in Boston. He averaged 1:20 of penalty kill time a game.
Paille joins fellow NHLer Max Talbot on Tampere.
