The Providence Bruins can't seem to find a consistent groove. They win a couple in a row and then lose a couple in a row. That trend continued Sunday afternoon where the Bruins fell 4-3 in a shootout to the Worcester Sharks. The Bruins have now dropped two straight games.
The Bruins were up 3-1 about midway through the third but couldn't hold the lead. Bracken Kearns and Brandon Mashinter scored within five minuted of each other to send the game into overtime and then the shootout.
Mashinter won it for the Sharks in the sixth round of the shootout.
Jamie Tardiff, Ryan Spooner, and Garnet Exelby all scored for the Bruins, with Tardiff's coming on the powerplay.
Michael Hutchinson got the start tonight, giving Niklas Svedberg the night off after starting the last two night. Hutchinson stopped 29 shots on the night.
