The Providence Bruins couldn't keep the momentum going as they fell to Manchester 3-0 Saturday night. The Bruins fired 18 shots at net but none of them could beat Martin Jones. Niklas Svedberg made 27 saves for the Bruins.
Svedberg kept the Bruins in the game despite being outshot the whole game. It took until midway through the second period to get the scoring started. With the Bruins on the powerplay, Andrei Loktionov scored his fourth of the season to give the Monarchs a 1-0 lead.
The goal just continued to add to the Bruins struggles on the powerplay recently. The Bruins were 0-for-7 on the man advantage Saturday night.
The score would remain that way until midway through the third when Tanner Pearson doubled the Monarchs lead. Dwight King sealed the win with an empty net goal with under two minutes to play.Tags: Boston, Boston Bruins, Hockey, NHL, Niklas Svedberg, Providence Bruins
